Following last year’s poignant single ‘Call Me Crazy’, and having recently reached over one million streams on Spotify for 2019’s ‘Iron Lung’, Brighton duo Hanni Pidduck and Clara Townsend - aka ARXX - are blasting into 2021 with a brand new offering.

Returning to the fierce, feisty attitude that fans have come to know and love, ‘DEEP’ maintains the catchy pop feel of ‘Call Me Crazy’, but fuses this together with a gritty, anthemic drive. An empowering ode to leaving behind all your anxieties and getting what you want, this latest single oozes a rousing sense of confidence, propelled by a seething energy as it builds with a swooning splendour to a shimmering slice of rapturous alt-pop.

Showcasing Hanni’s impressive vocal range - swapping between a raw, sensuous power and soaring, honey-sweet emotion - and Clara’s immense pummelling beats, ‘DEEP’ adds an electronic-driven musicality to ARXX’s trademark impassioned force, proving their ability to consistently hone and develop their sound, not content to stick to one genre.

Forever surprising us with their innovative songwriting and eclectic, yet consistently impressive and continually infectious sounds, ARXX continue to play with the expectation of what they ‘should’ be as women and as artists. Produced by Steven Ansell and mastered by Katie Tavini (Pillow Queens, Arlo Parks), ‘Deep’ cements ARXX as a band on the rise - a unique power duo ready to take on 2021.

Having been making music together since 2017, ARXX have now received airplay from the likes of BBC Radio 1’s Huw Stephens, John Kennedy on Radio X and BBC 6Music’s Steve LaMacq, and been featured in esteemed publications such as NME and DIVA Magazine.

They’re a true force to be reckoned with live, and have played 40+ gigs and festivals across the UK and Europe, including support slots with the likes of Dream Wife, The Hold Steady, Petrol Girls, PINS, Ladybird and The Coathangers.

To coincide with the release of ‘DEEP’, ARXX will be sharing a special remix EP, featuring the likes of Dream Wife’s Alice Go, Anna from Brighton’s LIME and Linda Buratto.

‘DEEP’ was released March 19th 2021.

It has achieved plays on BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders Future Artists), Radio X (John Kennedy), KEXP and BBC Introducing South.
